Salary: £42,000 – £43,200 per year
The job purpose is:-
* To participate in and lead a team of operatives to produce, pack and assemble products via the automation process.
* You will need to ensure that machine efficiencies are maximised and maintained and that any issues causing machine downtime are managed to their successful conclusion.
* You will need to be able to communicate effectively between other members of the team, Supervision, Quality and Engineering. At all times ensuring that the team comply and follow the Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions.
* It will be your responsibility for ensuring that the team members record accurate production data.
* You will need to ensure that the Automation line is set up correctly by following relevant setup procedures and all first off testing is completed.
*It will be your responsibility to collate all Process documentation.
* you will be responsible for staffing numbers, training, appraisals, ensuring good housekeeping and ensuring appropriate staff clothing is maintained for health and safety purposes.
The skills you require will be:-
* Proven knowledge and experience in maintenance or related industry experience.
* You will require experience in mechanical installation and maintenance work on plant electrical systems and equipment.
* You will need a broad knowledge of controls and mechanisms.
* You will need to be Proficient in troubleshooting, design and optimisation of pneumatic systems.
* You will have strong analytical and problem solving skills with ability to apply in an engineering environment.
* You will be self motivated.
* Be up to date with drawing and tolerance literacy (Technical / Engineering / Production Drawings).
* Have the ability to solve technical problems.
* Have knowledge of problem solving and analysis tools (FMEA, 5 Whys or equivalent).
* Working knowledge of automation systems.
Your working hours will be 4 days on 4 days off – working both 6pm-6am and 6am-6pm shifts.
