2nd & 3rd Line Server Support Engineer.

Large NHS organisation in London are looking to hire a permanent Server Engineer with at least 3 years plus experience of the following:

• Virtualisation Technologies; VSphere, Virtual Infrastructure, ESX, VMWare, Virtual Machine Manager
• Physical server hardware; HP, Fujitsu, Dell, IBM, and Cisco UCS.
• Enterprise Strength Server Technologies; High Speed SAN, SATA SAN, Fibre Channel Presentation
• Microsoft enterprise technologies, i.e Active Directory, and Group Policy, ]
• Broad exposure and experience in supporting Legacy / Direct Attached storage
• Exposure to multiple Enterprise Backup / Restore Technologies
• Knowledge in Windows Server 2000, 2003 and 2008 system support and management
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills – can explain complex requirements in a clear and concise manner
• Understanding of the ITIL Framework
• Exposure to Service Management Systems
• Able to prioritise workloads and resource them in response to changing demands and requirements
• The ability to work in a fully flexible working environment
• Ability to manage multiple streams of work simultaneously
• Ability to plan ahead, prioritise and manage change in a formally controlled yet, pragmatic fashion.
• Enthusiasm, commitment, self-motivation and a willingness to work in a flexible manner, both as an individual and within a team.
• Ability to work under own direction or as part of a team
• Ability to deal confidently with 3rd party suppliers and build effective working relationships.
• Proven knowledge in the fundamentals around RAID, Windows Clustering on Windows 2003/2008/2008R2, Network Interface Card Teaming, Operating System Patch.
