Assistant Materials Planner – Italian Speaking

Smart Recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of a world leading supplier of bearings who are located in Ilminster. We are assisting them in their search for an Italian Speaking Assistant Material Planner.

The main purpose of this role is to achieve the highest level of customer support by effectively carrying out the logistics, planning and administration activities of their products to overseas locations.

The role will be primarily responsible for the following:
• Co-ordinating and controlling the delivery process from international manufacturing sites to European customers
• Cost effectively planning logistical routes for delivery to customers
• Providing general administrative support
• Effectively liaising and negotiating with customers and suppliers
• Managing and maintaining customer details and information
• Maintaining adequate stock levels through accurate data analysis
• Providing materials, planning and logistical support at meetings – occasional overseas travel may be required

The company are looking for someone who possesses the following skills and attributes:
• Fluent in Italian – both verbal and written
• Previous experience working within a material planning function and stock control
• Knowledge and experience of logistics and importing into the EU
• Strong organisational skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience of liaising with customers and providing support
• Team player
• Good PC skills – Competent in using Microsoft Office in particular Word and Excel
• Experience of working within the Automotive Sector is desirable but not essential
