Accountant Income & Projects

We are recruiting on behalf of a social welfare charity in west London for an Accountant (Income and Projects) to take full responsibility for the completeness, accuracy and integrity of the income, banking and credit cards.

The Role
Oversee and be responsible for all group companies income accounting, banking and bank reconciliations, maintaining a strong control environment and fulfilling month end and year end requirements.
Reconcile the fundraising and accounting systems.
Control and administer the credit card processes.
Plan and undertake projects to improve processes/systems across departments and train budget holders.
Monitor/update/fulfil the compliance calendar and liaise to ensure that all company secretarial/ regulatory requirements are fulfilled.
Produce monthly cash flow forecasts
Demonstrate customer service represent the department internally and externally for accounting services

The Candidate
Necessary At least AAT qualified.
Desirable Part qualified or full accountancy qualification ( ICAEW, ICAS, ACCA, CIMA)
Strong numeracy skill
Strong, instinctive aptitude for accounting logic
Strong, instinctive aptitude for accounting IT package logic
Excellent error/fraud anomaly spotting skills
Problem solving focus
Continuous improvement and high quality orientation
Ability to organise and co-ordinate activities logically, so as to be able to consistently meet deadlines
Good verbal/written English communication skills so as to be able to discuss and interpret users needs, document user friendly procedures, discuss processes with and to teach others
Advanced level excel skills
