About the Company:

We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to join our head office finance team. This diverse role offers a great opportunity to be involved in all aspects of Accountancy taking ownership for the accounts of our Panelco brand.

Reporting into the Group Finance Director this great opportunity covers a full spectrum of duties.

Management Accountant Responsibilities:

Preparation of month end management accounts including analysis of variances to budget and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
Preparation of reports for Board members.
Preparation of annual budgets and development of robust forecasts for profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow.
Assistance in the preparation of financial statements, year end process and liaison with auditors.
Tight management of working capital and processing of payments (GBP/Euro)
Ensuring Group policies and procedures are adhered to.
Suggesting and implementing improvements to systems, processes and reporting.
Calculation and management of supplier and customer rebate schemes.
Preparation of returns for HMRC including VAT and Intrastat.
Ad hoc financial analysis and projects.
Management Accountant Requirements:

Experience as a Management Accountant preferably within a large distribution or wholesale sector
Strong stock background working with high numbers of skus
Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite particularly Excel
Experience of using Microsoft Navision (Preferred)
Ability to work to tight deadlines
Commercial awareness
Experience working in a fast-paced environment
Proactive and inquisitive nature and be a fast learner
Strong/confident communication skills
