The Plant Area Manager Role:

* Plant Area Manager will lead and inspire their team in achieving all retail deliverables, ensuring an exceptional high standard of customer care.
Role Purpose:
The successful Plant Area Manager will have enthusiasm for horticulture, leading and motivating a vibrant team of Plant Area Assistants, to demonstrate a passion to exceed customer’s expectations, and a commitment to exceptional standards.
Key Responsibilities of the Plant Area Manager:
* Financial management of the plant area, assisting in the preparation and management of the budgets and analysing weekly sales performance.
* Ordering of products as per seasonal requirements, consulting with suppliers and buyers accordingly.
* Merchandising to maximise sales opportunities, promoting stock in key areas as and when required.
* Stock management within the plant area, monitoring wastage and discounting to achieve maximum profit.
* Working as part of the wider team and performing Duty Manager responsibilities.
* Identify and coordinate staff development, Identifying potential skills and knowledge gaps within the team.
* Lead and always promote the highest standards of customer care and service.
* Manage the promotion of the brand in store, developing good local public relations, managing the active promotion of the Brand’s Club Members.
* Create and maintain a safe working environment for staff, customers, and visitors, ensuring the compliance with the Health and Safety Policy.
* Conduct regular appraisals of all staff, encourage performance feedback, and use as a forum to discuss developmental needs.
