The 2nd Line Support Engineer:
Our client has ambitions to implement the most advanced IT infrastructure in its sector, and we are currently seeking permanent Second Line Support Technicians to expand an already significant team maintaining our systems.
To provide support for both hardware and software applications, with a particular focus on the bespoke professional applications used throughout the firm, and to assist with any consultancy projects/client assignments which the department is involved with. The nature of the business is such that we operate 7 days a week, 7am to 11pm, and therefore some shift work is required.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Provide support on the network – Windows 7-10, Windows 2008-2012, Linux environment
- Provide support on the Browser and Desktop based corporate dashboards.
- PC setup and installation
- Network administration
- Involvement in applications infrastructure work as appropriate
The successful Application Support Engineer Candidate Will Have The Following:
- Windows Desktop
- Windows Server
- Linux
- MS Office Suite
- MS Exchange
- Active Directory
- VMware
- LAN / WAN Networking
- Firewall
