Networks Assurance Manager £43k base + 10% Bonus

A global telecoms and Network Solutions/Services company is on the hunt for an Assurance Manager to own and take care of escalated outages on WAN infrastructure for assigned Clients

You will be responsible for the management and resolution of incidents escalated to 3rd line level on predominantly Cisco Based WAN systems, working closely with clientsand 3rd party suppliers where necessary to resolve incidents within agreed SLA’s.

The role requires a good deal of experience and technical competence and an ideal measure of this would be CCNP accreditation or equivalent.

You may working in a 3rd line technical support role and will definitely have resolved major WAN infrastructure outages (MPLS/OSPF/BGP/EIGRP/RIP) for 3 years experience at least. You’ll also have 2-3 years experience with Cisco IOS features – DHCP, HSRP, IP services, IOS user interface, NAT, NTP, SNMP etc

Of equal importance is your ability to manage clients through painful outages and develop a relationship with them such that they are assured of the best level of attention to their needs. You will also perhaps need to deal with suppliers to ensure that whatever responsibilities they have in resolving issues are met in full and within SLA

Additionally, understanding of converged networks technology/Unified Comms/ and network security will be a significant advantage as will F5 load balancing and other WAN optimisation techniques.
