Process Laboratory Assistant

Our client based in Bury St Edmunds is looking for a graduate to join their busy team; this is an excellent opportunity for somebody to join a very reputable employer in the area who offers a very attractive salary and benefits package.

Role Responsibilities

Analysing fractions, making trial blends and making recommendations on bulks to the bulking / planning department.

Loading the GC auto samplers and operating GC software, routine maintenance and calibrating of these machines.

Operating and calibrating and maintaining the Refractometer, Densimeter and Polarimter.

Operating a forklift truck as and when required.

Oversee the timely release of samples and results.

Writing, reviewing and maintaining the department’s risk assessments and SOPs.

Using your initiative and judgement to make improvements to working practice within the laboratories.

Perform such other tasks as are consistent with the general description.
