We are currently seeking to recruit an Assistant Laboratory Technician / Operational Support Technician, to carry out a range of operational / analytical tasks within a laboratory based environment. Our client is a leading organisation within the Hazardous Waste Management industry, with the opportunity for a Laboratory Assistant / Technician to join their team.

As an Assistant Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for:

Sampling & analysis tasks
Lab scale research & development (R&D) investigations & projects
Providing continuous improvement suggestions
Performing quality control analysis
Issuing laboratory reports
Sampling & despatching materials after analysis
Calibration of laboratory test equipment
Other duties as required

To be considered for this opportunity, you should have a Scientific based qualification (min. HNC or equivalent). You must have relevant industry experience (ideally within environmental/waste management sectors) and a good understanding of the use and maintenance of laboratory equipment (GC, GCMS, IC, XRF, etc.).
