Engineering Manager

Our client, based in Oxford, specialises in the design, manufacture and installation of highly technical scientific systems. Due to continued growth and market demand they have a vacancy for an Engineering Manager to join their organisation.

In this role you will have line management responsibility for a team of Product Design and Engineering staff. The team includes Mechanical, Electrical and Controls Engineers as well as Students, Contractors and Apprentices.
The primary function of the role is to ensure that appropriate resources are applied to multiple projects and that project milestones and quality and cost objectives are met. You will also be instrumental in setting improvement objectives for the team and taking the lead on staff and engineering process development.
You will have product design experience in high precision mechanics and motions, familiar with 3D modelling and CAD packages (e.g. Solid Edge), UHV design, with electrical design and control systems.
The ideal candidate will be qualified to first degree in engineering or relevant science subject and ideally a business qualification.
