Fraud Intelligence Analyst – Motor Claims

Role Overview:
Screen incoming intelligence and referrals against a variety of intelligence sources and interrogate the fraud database to highlight new threats against the business. The job holder will also triage incoming claim referrals for suspect fraud making timely decisions and recommendations for future action. Additional duties will require the collation and preparation of suspect fraud case files for the Fraud Case Managers.

Core Responsibilities:
• Analyse data in order to identify both fraud trends and individual cases of financial crime within the claims arena
• To make recommendations and decisions based upon the output of your investigation to mitigate fraud loss.
• Interrogate and leverage fraud databases and intelligence sources
• Perform analysis and validation of multiple internal and external databases and tools.
• Implement actions that contribute towards the underwriting fraud strategy
• Recommend changes to process which reduce the risk of financial crime to the business
• Ensure complaints are handled efficiently and effectively, taking appropriate action to address issues raised
• Encourages the development of sound working relationships within the team

Essential:
• Claims experience
• Ability to spot trends and make recommendations
• Accurate keyboard skills
• Experience of working in a customer focus environment.
• Ability to analyse and process data
• Good interpersonal and customer service skills
• Experience in the insurance industry
• Experience with fraud detection tools
• Knowledge of multiple personal and commercial insurance products
• Highly computer literate
