Design Engineer

Salary: £54,000 – £60,000 per year

Design Engineer – South East – Contract (6 months+)

I am currently recruiting for a client based in the South East region of the UK for a Design Engineer to join a leading manufacturer for material handling solutions. The successful design engineer will be joining the team on an initial 6 month basis with possibility for extension. Below are the skills and experience we are looking for, as well as the main responsibilities expected.

Key experience:
* Proficiency with CAD software Solidworks
* Proficiency with Windchill PLM Software
* Extensive experience working on products like material handling equipment
* Responsibility for BOMs
* Working on projects related to material handling equipment
Key responsibilities:
* Designing for material handling equipment using the CAD software Solidworks
* Supporting design documentation
* Supporting Windchill PDM
* Creating and updating designs of drawing parts and assemblies using Solidworks and Windchill
* The ability to work as part of a team and autonomously when required

This role is urgent and the rates are negotiable dependant on experience and expectation.
