Salary: £36,000 – £48,000 per year

One year maternity cover for a proactive, well organized ‘hands on’ Accounts Manager to look after 3/4 companies for a building services company in Derbyshire. This is a successful profitable business who are currently expanding. This role will look after a small team of accounts assistants and will work closely with the Finance & Operations Director.

* Line management of accounts department – currently 2/3 staff

* Support/cover for accounts department colleagues during holidays, sickness

* Reconciliation of company bank accounts

* Manage month-end closure procedure to meet month-end deadline

* Quarterly VAT returns

* Process payroll for 40+ employees

* Auto-enrolment pension – enrol new employees, upload monthly contributions, process leavers

* HR – collate new starter packs for new employees, maintain HR electronic records, holiday requests

* New customers – carry out credit searches of potential customers, apply for credit insurance

* Liaise with external accountants – year-end, P11d, annual audit (Constructionlines only)

* Liaise with insurance brokers on fleet insurance – addition/remove of vehicles, renewal

The Requirement:

* Part qualified or qualified by experience

* Proactive and highly organised

* Experience of CIS returns desirable

* Ability to manage a small team

* Experience of construction / building services desirable
