Company Information

• Our client is a leading supplier of Building Products to the Construction Industry
• They are the looking to recruit a Product Designer to joiner their team on a permanent basis

You must have the following:

• Must have experience working in Product Design for the Construction industry
• A background and suitable qualification in engineering, construction, or product development.
• Understanding of building regulations particularly those applicable to residential construction
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong IT Skills
• Ability to communicate at all levels

Role Information:

Reporting to the MD the successful candidate will be responsible for managing compliance across the entire range of products. You will also be leading the business technical training initiatives and be the responsible person for all technical documentation. Other duties will include:

• Lead the business’s adoption of and compliance with the Code for Construction Product information.
• Work closely with the development team ensuring new products are both compliant with standards and regulations and what the market requires.
• Technically support other functions, e.g., sales, marketing, operations.
• Undertake site visits nationally where required.
• Represent the company at appropriate industry meetings e.g., with trade bodies.
• Understand current and future applicable legislation and building regulations and brief the rest of the management team on relevant future changes.
