About The Role
Ourย Pump Rentalย branch inย Bracknellย isย looking to welcome a Hire Controller to join the team.
As a Hire controller you are at the heart of our Pump Hire branches,ย thisย role will bring the individual into daily contact with Selwood stakeholders as well as our external client base.
This is a great opportunity for an individual to join our business and beย supportedย by our branch teamย toย learn and understand theย day-to-day operations of Selwood.
In this role you will need to be a confident self-starter, who has the ability and willingness to learn and develop their skills. The role will require good communication & administration skills both verbal and written correspondence as well as having the ability to use technology and Microsoft office. A background withinย Hireย or within a similar industryย is essential.
Main responsibilities include:
To build a strong working relationship with all customers, by telephone contact on weekly ย ย basis, to ensure that we are their first call when they have a requirement for hired pumps.
To make arrangements and appointmentsย for the sales teamย or representatives to visit the customer and to provide better details of our equipment and to examine their requirements.ย ย To maximise the hiring of the Companyโs assets in a manner that is efficient and effective.
To ensure that all paperwork and Company systems are adhered to in a timely manner. Ensuring that contract and other systems paperwork are correct and up to date.
Logistics โ organising transport in a cost-effective manner.ย Ensuring collections of equipment at the end of hire agreements are collected within 48 hours.ย Deliveries are made to the customer when they are scheduled.
Ensureย that contract and other systems paperwork are correct and up to date.ย In-lieu contracts to be clearly identified and replacedย immediately required equipment is available.
Negotiateย hire rates in accordance with price lists and discount policy as advised from time to time.
To ensure all sales leads at the branch are promptly communicated to the sales staff.
Skills and Competencies:
Good Planning organisational Skills
Ability to prioritise and reschedule at all times.
Strong Communication skills both verbally and in writing.
An overall good level of IT Systems knowledge including good excel, word and Outlook.
The ability to stay calm under pressure.
A good level of problem solving skills.
Technical knowledge of Pumps would be an advantage.
Knowledge of Hire or Booking Systems would be an advantage.
