Salary: £26,000 – £36,000 per year
• To manage client relationships and audit work for your portfolio of Internal Audit clients.
• To achieve desired client recovery and staff productivity targets as agreed with Partners.
• To manage Risk and Assurance auditors to ensure quality and professional standards are met and auditors are appropriately trained and developed.
Client Portfolio Management
• To act as the recognised contact point for a portfolio of clients.
• To maintain effective and productive relationships with client contacts.
• To plan client audit work and manage the client annual audit plans within agreed performance indicators.
• To monitor and review the progress of audit work against agreed annual audit plans.
• To undertake audit work at clients where necessary.
• To resolve client management issues and liaise with the relevant Head of Internal Audit (HIA) regarding these as necessary.
• To prepare client Strategic and annual plans, annual reports and present these at Audit Committee meetings.
• To present audit reports at Audit Committee meetings.
• To ensure that all audit work is in accordance with the professional body’s (IIA) international auditing standards and the public sector internal auditing standards (PSIAS)
Staff Management
• To plan and manage the work of Risk and Assurance auditors in servicing clients.
• To direct and supervise Risk and Assurance auditors during the completion of client audit fieldwork.
• To conduct file and report reviews for client audit work completed by Risk and Assurance auditors and provide feedback to auditors including training and development points.
• To assist in coaching, training and developing new and existing staff members as and when required.
• To provide feedback on auditor performance and suggest potential objectives for auditors for their appraisals and assist in the implementation of agreed objectives.
• To continuously identify opportunities to develop and improve our working practices in respect of both internal and client facing documents, including our working papers, Assignment Report, Strategic Plan and Annual Report.
Self Development • Maintain the firm’s and professional body’s CPD requirements.
Client and Business Development
• To keep abreast of technical knowledge and changes affecting the Internal Audit profession and the client sectors.
• To attend networking events to promote the firm and win new work as necessary.
• To identify and pass on cross selling opportunities within the frim.
• To maintain client details on the firm’s CRM system.
• To lead on tendering for potential new work and presenting for such at formal presentations.
• To provide training presentations to clients where appropriate skills are held.
Skills Essential skills
• Prior Internal Audit Experience
• PIIA, CMIIA or ACA/ACCA qualified
• We will support studying towards CMIIA (soon to be QIAL) where this designation is not already held.

Contract terms This role is being offered as a full-time position but we will consider term time only and part-time applicants.
