Generator Engineer

Salary: £36,000 – £72,000 per year

We’re looking for a Generator Engineer to work for our client.

They are specialists in the generator industry where skills and/or labour shortages exist. With a wealth of experience and significant industry knowledge, coupled with their relationship with chosen partners.

If you can demonstrate experience of servicing and maintaining diesel standby sets from 10kva – 4000kva then you could be perfect for our client and we’d love to see your CV.

Please note: In this position you’ll occasionally be needed to work some weekends and some unsociable hours. Full details of how this will work will be revealed at interview.

Responsibilities:

– A mixture of field service roles including repairs, fault finding, installations, and commissioning plus other general duties

– Working in a field based role maintaining gensets

– Generator fault finding

– Generator servicing and maintenance at customers own premises

Requirements:

– Experience of servicing and maintaining diesel standby sets from 10kva – 4000kva

– Additional experience of generator servicing and maintenance

– Further experience of being a time-served engineer in a mechanical/electrical discipline, ideally with at least three years’ experience

– A tow license

– NVQ level 2 or City & Guilds level 2 qualification in mechanical /electrical engineering or motor vehicle studies

– A basic understanding of electrical knowledge

– Able to work unsociable hours

– Travel throughout the UK

– Able to work long hours

– A full driving licence is needed for this role

– Basic salary: £36,000 – £72,000per annum

– Overtime: You’ll also have the opportunity to earn overtime in this role
