Smt Operator

Salary: £26,000 per year

Due to exceptionally high demand and the launch of new products, our client are looking for additional SMT Operatives to join their electronics manufacturing team.

The main responsibilities for these roles will be to work within our SMT (Surface Mount Technology) cell for the operation of and selection of relevant programmes for our machines, in order to populate the Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs).

The successful SMT Operator candidate will ideally have some experience of working in manufacturing and be able to demonstrate some of the skills detailed below:

The SMT Operator Role

• Experience of working in an SMT facility
• Confidence in working machinery (full training provided)
• Being able to understand assembly build documents
• Inspection and touch up of PCBS experience

The Ideal SMT Operator Candidate

• Have a willingness to learn the new skills required to operate the SMT line
• Are a great team player who works well both alone and with others
• Have excellent attention to detail, with good eyesight and dexterity, and the ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately
• Are reliable and able to demonstrate a flexible approach

The client will also provide on-the-job training to get you up to speed and then ongoing support to help you achieve your targets.

SMT – Rotating shift pattern (with a Shift Allowance of 25%)

6.00am – 2.30pm (Mon to Thur) and 6.00am – 12.30pm (Fri) for 2 weeks

6.00pm – 6.00am (Mon to Thur) for 2 weeks
