Salary: £26,000 – £30,000 per year
Sue Ross Recruitment are working with a national freight forwarder in the recruitment of an Import/Export Controller/Freight Operator. Our client mostly deals with road freight however also handle air and sea.
Your main role will be to support the Sales Account Managers, this will include: raising quotes, job loads, invoices etc. With Brexit now having taken place, you will also need to request import and export entries from the customs dept, therefore some knowledge of Customs would be preferred as you will process the request to the internal customs department.
Knowledge of import/export customs would be an advantage. As you will be requesting import/export clearance to process in the customs system.
You will have an understanding of freight- ideally as an Operator in an admin support role within in a freight office.
