An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for one of the UK’s leading and rapidly expanding Sameday Transport Companies based in their RUNCORN office. The role of SENIOR COURIER OPERATOR is to provide a high level of support to the control and operations of the Sameday / Logistics Transport Service Centre and ensure a high level of customer service from booking to completion. To apply for the role all candidates must have had previous experience working for a sameday / Logistics courier company or worked within express parcels or a general transport environment.

Main Job Tasks

Assist your line manager with any operational duties as and when the business dictates in accordance with company policy

Support the maintenance of the existing territory, increasing the trading customer base to increase the profitability via contact with the customers by telephone in line with predetermined company targets

Communicate effectively with drivers ensuring cost and revenue targets are met in relation to predetermined gross margin and profit targets

Maintain driver files in accordance with company guidelines

Complete debrief with drivers based on the service level agreements for specific contracts

All completed bookings to be dropped within 48 hours

Provide feedback for queries and complaints within 1 day of receipt

Record feedback of resolutions to specific drivers

Work closely with 24/7 by diverting and un-diverting phones when appropriate

Complete a full and comprehensive handover including all ongoing jobs pre 6pm the 24/7 team

Provide 24/7 with a daily accurate and up to date driver rota�s covering all out of hours period

Complete all customer related documentation within specified deadlines

All administration process and procedures to be adhered to in line with company policy

To undertake any other reasonable duties as directed by your manager or a director

Attend any training courses and business meetings as required by the company
