Job Title: Quality Engineer
Salary: £42,000 – £48,000

We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join our successful engineering business based in Hampshire. As part of a successful group of engineering companies, we offer a professional and secure working environment with good career progression. The successful Quality Engineer should ideally be a graduate level, goal focused Quality Engineer with knowledge of a range of quality tools including route cause analysis, 8D, FMEA’s, NCR control and process auditing.

The Quality Engineer will be working within our strong lean manufacturing and 5S culture so the Quality Engineer should be comfortable working in this environment. This position will certainly offer a challenge to any Quality Engineering professional looking to move their career on and stretch their skills to the full. Ideally degree educated, you must be driven and self-motivated with a passion for continuous improvements to achieve world class standards.

The Quality Engineers main duties will be:

Quality Projects – Participate and lead continual improvement focused projects that may be initiated with the business.
Process Improvements – Investigate areas of the business requiring improvement with a few of persuading / facilitating managers in developing improvements in processes
Internal Audits – Lead in the management of the Internal Audit program and act as auditor when necessary.
Quality Management System – assist in the development of an effective QMS
Cross Functional Improvement Teams – Participate with cross departmental teams in specific projects defined to deliver a revised process / new product.
PDI Analysis- Investigate repeat issues from the PDI process with a view of providing guidance / leadership on corrective action with the production teams.
Training – support the QA department with training on new or revised systems

The Requirements of the Quality Engineer:

Ideally Educated to degree level
Experience in TS Or AS standards
Strong communication skills written or verbally
