We are currently recruiting for a Quality Engineer for one of Hereford’s most popular and well respected manufacturing business.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

*Able to work to timing constraints/milestones and have a good aptitude for analysis of data using recognised techniques.
*The ability to use a CMM is desirable.
*Excellent communication skills and a good team player.
*Knowledge of Ford/Jaguar/Land Rover APQP requirements is required.
*Supplier development and liaison experience is preferred, as is, a knowledge and understanding of the requirements of Ford Q1 and the ability to audit to Automotive Standard TS16949.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

*Ensure Advanced Quality Planning procedures are carried out on all new products.
*Develop and maintain FMEA’S and Control Plans throughout the life of the product.
*Ensure process capability by use of statistical studies as required.
*Liaise with new and existing customer on all matters relating to quality.
*In conjunction with the Purchasing Department, audit current suppliers on an ongoing basis in order to ensure that they meet with the company quality system requirements.
*Assist as a team member on projects when nominated to do so.
*Assist in raising and maintaining specifications for new and existing products as and when required.
*Ensure that engineering test and drawing specifications are completed prior to customer sample submission.
*Ensure relevant documentation is completed prior to customer sample submission.
*To design and develop gauges and visual aids required to control product quality.
*Develop, institute, audit and maintain procedures which conform to the customers’ quality system requirements within the framework of the company quality system.
