Quantity Surveyor

Salary: £102 per hour

Aylin White are currently working with a growing Fit Out subcontractor based in Hertfordshire to help recruit an up and coming, ambitious Quantity Surveyor with 3-7 years’ experience.

With an £85m turnover, they are growing in size – they have a very steady order book of projects with multiple leading developers on high rise buildings from Peterborough down to the south coast, where they specialise in the design and build of drywall, screeding, drylining, suspended ceilings, fire protection, plastering, joinery, facades and roofing.

This is a great opportunity for a QS who is at the early stage of their career who wants to join a well-established, hard working company that has a very social culture and a great reputation.

As an Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for:

•Managing contracts from Pre-contract to Handover

•Looking after packages circa £1.5 – £2mil

•Track changes to the design and/or construction work and adjusting budget projections accordingly

•Report back to the commercial director

•Managing Sub-contractor payments

•Provide advice on contractual claims

•Attending sites and developing existing and new relationships with clients

Qualification and Skills:

•The Quantity Surveyor must have previous experience looking after contracts from pre-contract right through to Handover

•Must have construction related degree

•Excellent numerous and financial management skills

•Commercial awareness
