Contracts Surveyor
£28,800 – £37,200 (dep on experience), Pension, 20 days holiday, plus PH’s. Annual Performance Bonus.
The Company
Working for a well-established company based in Kent. My client is looking to recruit a Contracts Surveyor based in their Chatham office.
The Role
We have a vacancy for a Contracts Surveyor to work alongside our existing estimating team within our clients Chatham office. Their core services are Lightning Protection, Power Earthing and Specialist Access (Steeplejacks) operating from a number of regional offices. Full internal training in the role will be given and external training in the relevant standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Working closely with Projects Manager to help manage a wide variety of projects.
* Being the first point of contact for the engineers calling in requiring information about projects.
* Being the first point of contact with the Site Managers/QS/PMs.
* Assist with the management of many projects at once.
* Liaising with other personnel to arrange site visits, deal with customer queries etc.
* Ensuring all files are maintained with up to date working documents.
* Stock control, including issuing materials and assisting with monthly stock counts.
* Estimating and Lightning Protection Risk Assessments where required.
The ideal candidate:
* Graduate or equivalent
* Previous experience working in a similar role preferable
* Good Communication Skills
* Able to problem solve
* Excellent numerical/analytical skill and computer literate
* Punctual
* Able to work as part of a team
