Senior / Quantity Surveyor

Salary: £26,000 per year

Midlands regional contractor have an £9.6 Million new build industrial unit which you will be taking the full commercial lead on from inception through to final completion. Reporting to the senior management team your main duties and responsibilities will involve the procurement for the full compliment of subcontractors for the project and attendance at post tender and pre contract meetings, upon appointment of subcontractors you will also be responsible for the issuing of payments upon satisfactory completion of work and then the completion of final accounts. Other duties will include undertaking monthly CVR’s along with a final forecast report which would be reported and submitted to the company directors. You would also be responsible for assisting with any design cost control, attending design team meetings, preparation of change orders to client and agreement, including monitoring with the Project Manager on any programme/delay issues arising from change/variations and if need be for the preparation of claims for extension of client.

Computer literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft packages including excel as well as a prove track record delivering schemes under own direction.

Both permanent and freelance individuals will be considered for this position, it will specifically be site based role but may involve head office/client meetings and visits
