Contracts Manager

Salary: £42,000 – £54,000 per year

OVERALL PURPOSE OF JOB
Responsible for ensuring that site operatives are working efficiently within project timescales. Ensuring effective communication between site team and clients project manager. Ensuring that all materials are installed in accordance with the client’s specification and to the agreed standards. Organising plant and materials required tocomplete the projects on time and within budget.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Responsible for establishing mobile site office when required
* Produce list and order ancillary materials for specific jobs within agreed timescales
* Liaise with construction site manager and client project manager to establish progress of work Attend daily/ weekly contractors meeting
* Problem solve any unforeseen issues with build
* Advise requirements for Plant Hire any additional equipment as required Keep daily records of labour and plant equipment on site
* Visit sites and survey
* Ensure labour arrive and work on site at agreed times
* Accountable for ensuring staff under your control adhere at all times to all Health and Safety Policy & Procedures and in line with site specific RAMS
* Adhere at all times to all Company Health and Safety Policy and Procedures
* Update skills and knowledge necessary to effectively carry out role as required by the company Install materials to complete build projects to the standard and specification required
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
* Competent IT skills in Auto CAD, Word, Excel and Outlook
* Attention to detail
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* Good understanding of plan drawing
* Good interpersonal skills
* Must be able to multi task and be pro-active
* Good planning and organisational skills
* Aware of Health & Safety legislation

* Flexible to travel to locations in the UK with the occasional overnight stay

Qualifications Required:
* Valid UK Clean Driving Licence
* GCSE Maths & English
* Engineering background – desirable
* Construction skills certification scheme card
* MEWP licence – desirable
* SMSTS – desirable
