Senior BAT Case Engineer

Salary: £48,000 – £66,000 +15% bonus

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior BAT Case Engineer to join a nuclear new build project in the South West of the UK. The Senior BAT Case Engineer will be responsible for developing strategies, undertaking and managing detailed assessments and producing reports demonstrating the application of BAT methodology. You will be expected to manage key internal and external stakeholders as part of this role. This is a SQEP role.

Principal Accountabilities:

* Define how the site specific BAT case will be developed and Produce BAT case strategies and plans.
* Carry out detailed assessments including commissioning and delivering optioneering (MADA) assessments to demonstrate the use of BAT and the selection of the most appropriate technology
* Assist with the development of the technical capability of the staff within the team and the wider organisation
* Prepare the site specific BAT cases

Knowledge and Skills:

* Previous record of success and achievement within relevant roles
* Degree qualified in a relevant engineering subject, or equivalent
* Considerable experience of authoring BAT documents
* Proven ability in the conduct and review of various types of optioneering and BAT assessment methodology
* Experience interfacing with nuclear regulators on nuclear plant design and BAT case issues
* Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
* Ability to work as part of a team or independently
* Drive, commitment and enthusiasm, particularly for the development of nuclear power in the UK.

Some travel within the UK and abroad will be required;
