Senior Multi-Disciplined Engineer – Fire & Security

My client, FIRE (BAFE), NACOSS Gold & NICEIC accredited, requires a Senior Multi-Disciplined Engineer – Fire & Security. The position will mainly cover Greater London.

This is a permanent position and additional training will be provided where required.

Applications from suitably qualified ex-military personnel (Royal Air Force, Royal Navy, British Army, Royal Marines) will be particularly relevant for this position.

Principal Responsibilities

This Multi-Disciplined Engineer role is field based covering in and around the London area

*
Fire, CCTV, access control, intruder alarms and nurse-call maintenance, install & fault finding

*
Providing for commercial sectors (Hospitals, Schools, Retail & Landlord residential)

*
Follow client security protocols when working at certain sites

*
Ideally have experience with most common fire applications

*
On-call Rota (7 days) with stand-by pay + one hour each way travel allocation on all call outs

*
Fully expensed company van, mobile phone and uniform

*
Scope for progression for the right person

Skills & Experience

*
Proven service engineer experience within the security industry, minimum 3 years

*
Proficient in the service and or installation of Fire & security solutions

*
Demonstrated fault finding ability

*
Level 3 qualification and 17th Edition would be preferred

*
Experience commissioning or project management

*
Willing to complete full BS7858 screening with Standard DBS check

*
Reliable, trustworthy, self-motivated with can-do attitude

*
Ability to work alone as well as in a team

*
Ability to work to deadlines on specific projects

*
Excellent communication and relationship building skills

*
Hold a full UK driving Licence
