Senior Stress Engineer

Experienced in undertaking stress analysis of mechanical equipment and fabrications for nuclear industries.
Proficient in the use of Mathcad to perform traditional stress analysis to BS2573 and internal standards used by nuclear companies.
Experienced in the performing FE analysis using of ANSYS or Nastran. Able to apply FE analysis tools correctly, understand load paths and perform manual checks to validate FE results.

Able to produce stress reports and technical files in conjunction with the CE certification.

Able to interpret 2D drawings, knowledge of CAD systems such as Inventor, CATIA or Unigraphics would be an advantage.

Knowledge of applying relevance EH&S to legislation.

Prepared to take responsibility of delivery of work packages, identify requirements, plan work within small teams and communicate effectively with customers and staff at all levels.

IT proficient (Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office).
