Laboratory Assistant

LABORATORY TECHNICIAN

Guildford, Surrey

6 Month Fixed Term Contract – Shift work 6.00am – 2.30pm or 1.30pm – 10.00pm

£26,000 per year

Our established and expanding Guildford client is looking for a Laboratory Technician for a minimum of 6 months, with a possibility of contract extension.

Main Responsibilities:

* Preparing batches of E-liquid for use in the bottling machine
* Preparing to specific formulations
* Performing tests on the E-liquids to ensure product quality
* Produce batch manufacturing records
* Maintaining cleanliness of the Lab and utensils
* Liaising with the Lab manager to ensure they are kept up to date with issues in the lab
* Work with the creation expert to aid the innovation of new flavours and products
* Ad hoc tasks as required

Skills & Experience Required:

* Have experience of working in clinical environments (not essential)
* Maintain good hygiene standards
* Excellent communication skills
* Team player
* GCSE Maths at grace A*-C
* Excellent attention to detail
* Scientific background desired but not essential
