Our client, a leading waste operator, is looking to recruit a Waste Awareness, Communications & Education Manager. This role forms a key part of a Household Waste Recycling Contract which the company operates in partnership with the local Council.
The main focus of the role is to raise public awareness of the waste hierarchy (e.g. waste prevention, re-use, recycling and composting) and associated benefits, through the creation of new, and support of existing educational initiatives and communication channels with a wide range of community and school groups. You will analyse data captured by the contract to produce reports and identify areas for improvement with the aim of improving recycling and waste management performance.
Candidate requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in either an environmental or waste management or educational discipline
- Experience and confidence in working with community groups and/or schools
- Experience in public communications
- Experience in analysing data
- A full UK driving licence
