Communications & Corporate Affairs Manager

A leading facilities and service management company is seeking a Communications & Corporate Affairs Manager to join their established Marketing team. You will be responsible for maximising B2B and B2C public relations opportunities for the company, manage the brand’s image and ultimately increase public awareness.

Reporting to the Head of Marketing your main responsibilities will include the following:

• Develop, propose and implement the integrated PR plan, encompassing pro-active engagement through a range of media channels
• Be the first point of contact for press enquiries
• Develop, maintain and update a media contact database
• Responsible for implementing and co-ordinating various PR projects
• Generate ideas for positive media interest
• Prepare draft press releases
• Lead in and participate in the organisation of events, press launches and press trips
• Undertake regular briefings with key media representatives including reporters and editors
• Assume day to day responsibility for social media activity
• Prepare and implement a plan for internal communications including directly employed staff and business partners, ensuring key business priorities, successes and challenges are understood
• Undertake copywriting for marketing purposes such as ‘search engine optimisation’ (SEO)
• Support marketing campaigns through complimentary PR activities
• Develop, maintain and manage the businesses regional stakeholder database
• Create monthly reporting demonstrating the reach and value of public relations and social media activities

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

• Previous experience in a similar role
• Proven track record of devising and executing PR campaigns
• Ability to manage several projects simultaneously
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable working in a multi site environment
