Salary: £39.77 per hour

Permanent Position

Full Time 37 hours per week

About the Role

You will lead work across the Devon County Council area with an ambition to end Violence Against Women and Girls. Key areas of work will include; delivering the Councils significant new responsibilities under the Domestic Abuse Act, developing the wider Devon strategy to address Violence Against Women and Girls and manage a range of partnerships and programmes to deliver the actions from the strategy.

You will lead the Devon response to sexual violence and abuse and be the lead person connecting with the wider Devon and Cornwall Sexual Violence Strategy and work programme. The post will contribute to the Councils wider violence prevention duties.

About you

* An expert in the field of violence against women and girls (VAWG), with significant senior-level experience of developing and maintaining multi-agency partnerships, commissioning services and strategic development across organisations.

* An excellent communicator at all levels, persuasive and adept at working confidently with politicians, victim/survivors, senior leadership teams and local residents.
