Start date: ASAP
Length of Contract: 3 – 6 months
Hours: Monday – Friday/ 9am – 5 pm/ Flexible Working
Resourcing Group is recruiting on behalf of our client, a specialist domestic violence charity, for a Outreach Worker to support victims of Domestic Abuse in their own homes and the community.
Our client work to establish and deliver wrap around service which focus on supporting and empowering adults and children when they are most in need. They offer a broad range of services including advocating on clients behalf, supporting through the criminal justice system, assisting clients with finding permanent accommodation, managing their finances, empowering clients to make independent choices and actions, taking care of their health and accessing work, training or education.
Key Responsibilities:
*You will be responsible for case managing 10 medium- high risk victims of Domestic and Sexual Violence and advocating on their behalf with various services, organisations and professionals to ensure their needs are met
*Working within a multi-agency framework to deliver interventions and support to high risk victims of Domestic and Sexual Violence to ensure the safety and needs of the survivor remain paramount
*Key working clients and creating comprehensive support plans, safety and exit plans and risk and needs assessments
*Facilitating a weekly drop in support and ensuring that women are provided with a safe, supportive and welcoming environment and enabling them to access their rights, make decisions and increase their life options
*Ensuring survivors are aware of the full range of civil, criminal and practical options that might increase their safety
Essential requirements:
*Significant proven experience of providing emotional and practical support to high risk survivors of domestic violence
*Supported housing and/ or Floating Support experience
