Role: Trainee Gas Surveyor

Location: South Yorkshire, North East & North West (Full Time)

Salary: £26,000per year (dependent on experience)

Our client are a well established utility company who provide metering services to the domestic, industrial and commercial sector, employing in the region of 250 engineers from the boarders of Scotland to south coast England.

They are developing/expanding a dynamic team to deliver a Smart meter deployment programme across the UK.

Brief Role Description:
They are looking for an Industrial & Commercial Gas Surveyor to join their growing surveying team. This is a permanent role based in the North East/West or Central. Although training will be provided any experience within the gas trade would be taken in to consideration when applying for this role. You will need to be a clear and effective communicator at all levels, computer literate and able to keep accurate records.

Key Responsibilities:

– Work closely with planners, Project Managers and design engineer teams on projects
– Carry out a quality survey of a gas meter installation and surrounding area
– Check all measurements before sending to design team
– Report any issues on site with regards to LOLER and or H&S
– Attend monthly reviews and progress meetings
– Have working knowledge of the gas trade (preferred)
– CSCS Card would be advantageous.
– Have the ability to maintain client and supply chain relationships professionally
– Previous experience preferred but training will be given

You will be provided with a Van, Fuel Card, Mobile Phone, Uniform & PPE kit. You must have a full UK Driving Licence and we will provide a Basic CRB check.
