Are you an ambitious Associate that’s hit the ceiling at your current company?
Would joining a company with a clear pathway to achieving partner status be something that aligns with your aspirations?
Would working in an ambitious team that is already ahead of their 2030 plan to significantly increase their profits be something you want to be a part of and help achieve?
If so, keep on reading…
Our client is a global independent construction, property, and management consultancy, that traditionally started as a QS firm but is now well-balanced in BS, QS and PM. The building consultancy side of the business equates to half of the overall Yorkshire team in terms of turnover and staff, making them the 3rd biggest team in the company. They predominantly operate in sectors such as healthcare, education, blue light, commercial, retail and government agencies. Furthermore, the business is Employee Owned where each employee has the opportunity to acquire shares creating an environment where each employee strives to have the company’s best interest at heart to reap the benefits together.
Due to promoting a former Associate Building Surveyor to Partner (this person joined the business 7 years ago as a Chartered Building Surveyor!), they are looking to strategically recruit an ambitious Associate to their office in Sheffield. The role itself is an 80/20 split between running projects, conducting core building surveying works (80%) and managing a team (20%). Moreover, 70% of the work is within the public sector working with clients such as South and West Yorkshire Fire and Police, Sheffield City Council, universities and multi-academy trusts to name a few. In addition, you will be part of a culture where everybody gets on as the mentality amongst the team is that everyone is in it together which has created a place to work with no politics and great dialogue between regional offices.
The ideal candidate would be a motivated and ambitious self-starter, this individual would need to be chartered and already operating in an autonomous delivery role. They would need to be able to demonstrate a strong prior track record in all core building surveying competencies but with a particularly strong track record in projects.
Salary Range: expectations can be met (they are willing to negotiate for the right candidate)
Access to shares, via SIP scheme, which is offered once a year
