As the UK’s leading supplier of catering equipment, our client is a specialist in Catering Design, Supply and Installation and they have the breadth of skills and experience to offer a complete service providing innovative design solutions from conception to completion and commissioning.

As part of a global FTSE 100 outsourcing group, they are also specialists in all types of interior refurbishment work including kitchens and support areas, dishwash handling systems, front of house food service areas, dining rooms and shopfitting, providing a complete turnkey package of works.

They are now looking for a Trainee CAD Designer to prepare competent drawings and visuals for catering equipment layouts from consultant brief, in a timely and accurate manner.

This is an important key support role to the design office sales team and you will be responsible for preparing drawings for presentation to customers using standard format both general and services type. Demonstrating innovation when producing visuals and presentation material for customer projects, you will use your negotiating skills with suppliers and sub-contractors to actively enhance GP margin and prepare accurate quotations using our in house software system, checking at all times against Design Manual procedures.

Customer focused and with excellent interpersonal skills, the successful Trainee CAD Designer will either have previous experience of a similar role or hold a recognised Design qualification. Highly motivated with good judgment and decision making skills, you will be educated to College or University level and be proficient in AutoCAD software and other industry software such as Sketchup and Photoshop.
