Trainee Assistant Paraplanner

St. James’s Place Wealth Management plc (SJP) is a leading, and highly regarded, FTSE 100 UK Wealth Management company which distributes a range of Investment and Retirement products and financial solutions to a High Net Worth client base. SJP has funds under management in excess of £96bn. The Practice is one of the largest Partner Practices within SJP and you will be employed by the Practice.
This opportunity is ideal for a bright, ambitious individual who is looking to develop their career within Financial Services sector.
You might be a graduate, a school leaver with an excellent track record and exam results or someone with some experience in the Paraplanning field. The rewards will be commensurate to your abilities and experience.
The Role – Trainee Assistant Paraplanner
The role itself will focus on and require the following
* To provide paraplanning and administration support to the practice’s Directors
* Processing and submitting business to our central teams.
* This will require individuals with the intellectual capability to quickly assimilate technical knowledge across the range of pensions, investments, individual and family protection and inheritance tax planning strategies that the advisers specialise in
* Ensure that the team are producing accurate and compliant client files and suitability reports.
* Liaising with 3rd party providers data gathering, ensuring that the advisers are fully informed of a client’s financial situation before they implement their advice strategies
In addition, the successful candidate will be required to help develop and use online marketing resources, especially LinkedIn, for the benefit of this practice.
* To design, implement and manage an ongoing digital marketing campaign.
* To manage, track and report progress.
* To contact prospective clients generated by the campaign to arrange meetings with the practice Directors.
The Person – Trainee Assistant Paraplanner
This is an interesting and challenging role that would suit a confident, motivated and professional graduate, school leaver or someone with some digital marketing experience. You have a ‘can do’ attitude.
* You have excellent IT and communication skills, both written and verbal.
* You have first class excel skills.
* You have an understanding of the potential for online marketing resources and have some experience in this.
* You are highly organised.
* You are a self-starter and able to work with little or no supervision, once trained.
* You are confident in dealing with third parties and can work with total discretion.
