We currently have an opportunity within our Toolroom for a Toolmaker to join our Bridgwater site (TA6) easily accessed via M5.

 

Purpose of job/mission:

 

To ensure all new moulds on arrival on site are in good condition, to maintain new and existing moulds and tooling to the requirements of Production.

 

A fantastic opportunity for an individual interested in developing further in this area

 

Tasks & responsibilities:

 

  • To ensure work on new mould modifications and tooling during the
  • development stage of new projects is carried out to the satisfaction of Production.
  • To ensure that existing moulds are checked and maintained to the required standard and any modifications carried out as necessary.
  • To ensure that all moulds are correctly stored in the numbered position within the Mould Store.
  • To ensure that a full range of spares and parts are available for all new and existing production moulds.
  • To ensure that the standard of housekeeping is maintained at all times.
  • To ensure that all duties are carried out in accordance with good Health and Safety practice.
  • To perform any other duties in connection with the job that may from time to time be reasonably required by supervision and which are consistent with the “Main Purpose of the Job”.

 

Skills/Experience:

 

  • Experience of working within a fast-paced manufacturing/production environment
  • Exposure to an environment repairing and maintaining machines and tools.
  • Previous experience of working within a toolroom would be advantageous but training will be provided
  • The ability to work well with your hands.
