Toolmaker

Salary: £40,800 – £45,600 per year

My clients are a very well-established manufacturing company based in Tameside. We are now looking for them a Mould/Press Toolmaker. As Mould/Press Toolmaker, you will manufacture, repair and modify mould and press tools in line with production schedules and target completion dates. The role will involve working with engineering drawings, a range of ferrous and non-ferrous and non-metallic materials to produce tools to our high standards. My client has invested significantly in the engineering division, providing high end machinery and fantastic facilities for all tool making requirements.

Main Purpose of the Role:

To manufacture, repair and modify mould and press tools in line with production schedules and target completion dates.

Main Responsibilities and Duties:

Working with a range of ferrous/non-ferrous and non-metallic materials, working with engineering drawings and producing tools to a very high standard. Using equipment such as Wire and Spark EDM machinery, milling, turning and surface/cylindrical grinding machines.

Essential Criteria:

Educated to at least ONC in an Engineering discipline, having served a recognised apprenticeship with practical experience.

Desirable Criteria:

Multi cavity Mould Tool experience.

Progression Press Tool knowledge.

Salary DOE 

Monday to Friday (40 hrs pw) 8am-5pm

28 days holiday inc. stat rising to 33 including stat after completion of 1 holiday year

3 month probationary period following
