Toolmaker / Technician

Applicant must a time served toolmaker who is experienced in the use of conventional tool room equipment. For example, lathes, miling machines and surface grinders etc. It is not essential however the ability to operate a CNC wire eroding machine and a three axes CNC milling machine would be advantageous. The employer is willing to train if these are not guaranteed skills. Must be able to read, understand and work from engineer drawings.

A successful candidate would have the ability to work without drawings using own initiative to problem solve and have a strong background in press tool manufacture. The role also involves supporting the smooth running of the production lines. In order to achieve this, a basic understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics would be advantageous but not essential as employer will train suitable applicants. Applicants will be expected to work to reasonable scheduled deadlines to achieve high volume output. Must work well within a team.
