Toolmaker

Salary: £30,000 – £36,000 per year

An opportunity for an experienced Toolmaker is available with my client to join their engineering team. My client is a leading UK manufacturer and the role would be working within their tooling operations to provide tool-making, repair and maintenance services. Their ideal candidate will be qualified with a relevant production / mechanical qualification, proven experience working in a busy tool shop and able to read technical drawings.

Toolmaker role:
The successful Toolmaker will report to the Engineering Manager. You will be responsible for:
Providing tool-making, repair and maintenance services as requested to meet the needs of the Company’s manufacturing operation.
Plan and organise structured processes of manufacture to ensure in each case a timely and high-quality output is achieved required specifications and tolerances.
Provide finished product and work tasks to a pre-determined specification and tolerance.
Deliver a high level of accuracy in both manual and clerical demands for this role, especially with the application and transfer of technical specification data from drawings.
The role is permanent working 39 hours per week on double day shifts.

Toolmaker requirement:
Mechanical and production relevant engineering qualification
Proven experience working within a busy tool shop.
Working to tight deadlines
Understand, interpret and work with technical drawings
Provide finished product to the correct specification within deadline
Flexibility with your approach to work, supporting your Team to deliver the overall objectives
Demonstrable ability of working within safe working practices

Toolmaker package:
Salary £30,000 – £36,000DOE
15% shift allowance
