Job Profile
As the successful Manual Machinist / Toolmaker you will be working alongside a team of highly skilled machinists and be required to liaise with the Design department on new projects. The team are all multi skilled machinist and training and support will be given to develop your skills
Duties
* Running XYZ manual and CNC machines using ProTrak
* Produce parts using precision tools including lathes, mills, grinders, drills and saws
* Use gauges and measuring tools to meet tolerance requirements
* Producing old and new components and tooling for the company product range
* Working closely with the Design Engineer on new products
* Work as a team to ensure quality and production targets are meet
* Producing components from engineering drawings through to completion of final article
* Self-inspection
* Working with a variety of materials including Stainless Steels, Brass and Aluminium
Skills & Experience
* Experience of running XYZ machines
* Basic understand of CADCAM would be an advantage but training will be given
* Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings
* Strong team player who can who work on their own when required
* Capable of contributing to root cause analysis and front-line problem solving, to support continuous improvement
* Competent in the use of hand-held measuring equipment
Hours
* 40 hrs per week
* 07.30 – 16.00 Monday – Friday
* Overtime paid at x1.5 hrs
* Monthly production bonus
