Toolmaker / CNC Operator

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Toolmaker / CNC Milling Operative join an expanding company based in Welshpool offering a salary of up to £39,600 pa plus a company bonus scheme. Working hours are on a two shift system, 8am to 4pm and 4pm to 12am rotating Monday to Friday.

As a Toolmaker / CNC Milling Operator your duties will include:

Producing high quality machined components from engineering drawings and work samples

Programming, setting up and operating Fanuc controlled machines using standard ISO code

Ability to operate, programme and understand milling machines

Generating practical ideas for improving quality and component manufacture

An ideal Toolmaker / CNC Programmer, Setter Operator will have the following skills and experience:

Proven background in CNC machining, preferably having served a recognised apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.

Knowledge of Fanuc OT controller

Flexibility in hours and approach

Ability to work under minimal supervision to strict deadlines

Experience in die-casting or plastic injection moulding would be advantageous
