CNC Miller Setter Operator

Salary: £14.4 – £18 per hour

After an impressive period of growth, involving the acquisition of 3 new businesses, my client are one of the ‘go to’ employers in the Cambridgeshire market.

With ambitious plans to grow into new markets and sectors, they are looking to recruit further resource into their machining and engineering teams, with a variety of shifts and roles available for the right candidate.

As CNC Miller for my client, you will be working as part of small team in a ‘cellular environment’ on a variety of products and materials. Experience of setting and operating machines using systems such as Fanuc, Haas and Heidenhain, you will be responsible for checking and monitoring your own work and checking finished products. If you have some offline programming experience, that would be ideal, but is not expected. These skills can be developed and enhanced by my client to allow you to move into a programming role down the line. Their aim is to have all of their staff skilled in more than one facet of the precision engineering world, ensuring a better and more efficient offering to their clients, and a more varied day for their staff.

This is a shift role, providing late shift and potentially nights for the right candidate, hours of work are relatively flexible and would be discussed at interview. An uplift of 1/3 is applied to any hourly rate offered.
