Technical Service Engineer

Salary: £30,000 – £36,000 per year

An Oxford-based MSP are seeking a Technical Services Engineer to join their growing technical team. This is a permanent, full time, hybrid position with an immediate start.

Hours: Mon – Fri 9am – 5:30pm

Salary Range: £25,000 – £30,000

Responsibilities to include:

• 2nd/3rd Line service desk response

• Support Project Team with large projects (server installs, office moves etc)

• Provide on-site installation and configuration of hardware and software solutions

• Troubleshooting hardware and software issues remotely and on-site.

• Communicate with clients verbally and in writing (via emails/tickets).

• Create and update internal and client-facing documentation.

• Improve on existing processes and scripts (RMM-based, PowerShell)

Requirements:

• Completed, or progressing towards a Microsoft Certification path (MCSE, MCSA)

• Experience of working with network devices (firewalls, switches, UPS etc)

• 3 or more years of experience on current Windows operating systems (Windows 10 and above, Server 2016 and above).

• Experience with support of mobile devices (Apple/Android)

• Experience with PowerShell

• Use of your own car

The primary responsibility will be the day-to-day upkeep of the client’s workstations, servers, and cloud platforms, both remotely and on-site. As a core member of a growing team you will also work closely alongside the leadership team to help maintain and improve the services offered.
