Salary: £108,000 per year

Technical Manager (Building Services) | to £108,000+ package | Essex | Main Contractor | Permanent

We are looking for a Technical Manager (Building Services) to work within the pre-construction team of this superb main contractor – predominantly office based in Essex but with the flexibility of at least one day a week working remotely.

The Building Services Technical Manager will be required to add value to the building services design and pricing process from inception through to project completion.

Technical Manager – main duties and responsibilities:

• Evaluate and advise on tender design concepts and provide advice and strategy to achieve costeffective solutions
• Help to raise the understanding of M&E (Building Services) design and specification issues across the technical team and across the business
• Oversee relationships with Building Services consultants
• Assist with the tender pricing by vetting tender quotations
• Assist the preconstruction team with bid submission documents, contractor proposals and selection interviews
• Maintain awareness of and provide technical updates on issues relating to Building Services, regulations and BREEAM
• Assessments of renewable energy strategies

Technical Manager – qualifications, skills and experience:

• Comprehensive experience in a Building Services capacity, ideally with several years at an M&E Sub Contractor organisation.
• Recognised building services qualifications
• Proven management capabilities
• Experience in pricing and design tender stage schematics
• Excellent communication skills
