Technical Services Manager
Food Manufacturing

Willy Wonka.
A role model and teacher to the food manufacturing industry.
And the person, I’ve been led to believe, who basically wrote the book when it comes to food safety.
Watching his documentary when I was younger was bittersweet – I found out I was too short to make it as an Oompa Loompa. But it did instil in me the understanding that having robust and audit ready systems in place will prevent consumers from turning into blueberries.
If you share this understanding and have the experience necessary to manage a QMS and ensure this doesn’t happen, then do I have the job for you.
Honestly, the products are not exciting when compared to a three-course dinner chewing gum.
But you would be joining in a newly created role that has come about after significant growth over the last year. So there is a real opportunity to come in, make an impact, and make the role your own.
The job differs slightly from a lot of tech services roles as you won’t be managing specs / spec techs and you’ll be overseeing multiple sites. They’re BRC accredited and between each of the sites they have production, packaging & distribution and serve retail, wholesale and B2B customers.
So quite complex, especially given the range of products they do. And this would be a great step up for someone in a similar role on a single site. Or maybe for someone in a similar role who doesn’t want as much people management…
Unfortunately, you won’t be rewarded ownership of the factory, no matter how good your behaviour. But it does come with the usual benefits and there is a level of WFH flexibility.
If this sounds like it could be the golden ticket, then click apply or get in touch with Sterling Choice!
