Technical Compliance Engineer

Salary: £42,000 – £48,000 per year

We are currently recruiting for a Technical Compliance Engineer for our client based in Ashby de la Zouch. We are ideally looking for a candidate who has 2/3 years technical experience within the automotive sector including automotive approval. Main duties will include.

* Through investigation and on the job learning – take a pro-active approach to the inclusion of necessary Type Approval requirements within company products and processes

* Vehicle Type Approval/homologation via various schemes

* Technical compliance including, Legal obligations, Vehicle manufacturer requirements and Liaison with industry bodies

* Review and maintain Type Approval/Homologation documentation and Conformity of Production

* Investigate new vehicle technologies

* Develop own Hybrid, Electric and Alternative-Fuel Vehicle knowledge to ensure appropriate processes are in place

* Management and coordination of specific projects as part of wider team

* Manage and develop relationships with sub-contract body builders, technical service providers and vehicle manufacturers

* Provide internal staff familiarisation to ensure knowledge on Type Approval subjects is correct & consistent

* Liaise with external services for product testing and approval purposes
